San Francisco Green Festival

(Port. - English bellow)

Our team at Sera´s booth: Tina Leme (left) Sera´s Communications ans Marketing, Orivan Pavan (center), Sera´s Creator and CEO and the Americans Gustavo Alcantar (Sera´s producer at the Green Festival) and Coortnee Rizzo (sales at the festival).

For the first time, Sera O Benedito participated in the Green Festival on 11 and 12 November, which has editions in several other American cities, but the one in San Francisco was the first one and indeed the most awaited of all editions.

This year was celebrated the 10th anniversary of the San Francisco Green Festival and Sera O Benedito was the only brand to represent Brazil at the event.

No wonder that the Green Festival, in partnership with Global Exchange and Green America, was created in California, land of the hippie movement and peace and love! The idea is to not only show the latest products like sustainable food, fashion, lifestyle and technology, but also to discuss the sustainable economy, ecological balance and social justice.

Sera no cenário da peça Orfeu Mestiço _ Será at the scene of Orfeu Mestiço play

The upcycled truck tarp Sera O Benedito is on the scene of the play Orfeu Mestiço - Uma Hip-Hópera Brasileira (Orfeu Mestizo - A Brazilian Hip-Hopera) that just opened in Sao Paulo at the Núcleo Bartolomeu de Depoimentos. With text and direction, custom design and music lirics by Claudia Schapira, the play  blends elements of opera and urban culture. It tells the story of a politician who returns to his past by his memmory, the reality, and imagination and deals with matters already shown in films and plays as the Brazilian military dictatorship, racismindigenous issues, among other Brazilian  issues, in a very creative way and unlike anything that has been shown.
The play also uses features of set design, music and live videos and pictures that are projected on curtains, with the direction of filmmaker Tatiana Lohmann. The live music is directed by Eugenio Lima and Roberta Estrela D´Alva, both actors and MCs (master of ceremonies in the  hip-hop language) and they also act in the play. There is also the participation of the groupTremeTerra as musicians-ogãs (Afro-Brazilian religions). The  MCs actors Cristiano Meirelles, Daniela Evelise, Luaa Gabanini, Ricardo Leite, besides those already mentioned Eugenio Lima and Roberta Estrela
D´Alva, are impeccable.
